K.S. Radhakrishnan is one of the most notable among the new generation of sculptors, credited with bringing about a resurgence in Indian sculpture. A figurative sculptor, Radhakrishnan prefers modeling and bronze casting over new materials which sets him apart from his peers. Giving a new sensibility to age old sculptural practices, Radhakrishnan is essentially a modernist. He is also an artists who celebrates sensuality, a recurrent theme in his works. His works are at once both intimate and universal in their appeal and that’s what gives him the edge. It is not surprising that his works have found a permanent home in a number of public collections all over the world.
