Nruthya Madappa is the Managing Partner of The CoWrks Foundry – a rigorous accelerator for early stage Indian startups, that brings together academia, industry and government. Nruthya is passionate about investing in diverse, tough founding teams, and transforming their growth through targeted, operational coaching and industry-specific curriculum. Within the first year of its launch, The CoWrks Foundry has made headway in accelerating the growth of 5 incredible tech startups under Nruthya’s leadership. She has developed The CoWrks Foundry from idea to execution, building a formidable accelerator program.

With her passion for technology, and a deep understanding of the business sector, Nruthya has expertise in harnessing both strategic and deep technical expertise to build scalable solutions for emerging markets. Over a career spanning 10 years in for-profit and nonprofit ventures, such as NetApp, TeachAIDS, Keystone Strategy, Cuemath and more, she has led global teams across tech, healthcare, education, economic policy, and finance. As a researcher, she worked on multiple interdisciplinary projects including building beta particle detectors that served as payloads for weather satellites; lab on chip devices designed to enable healthcare and point of care testing access in rural India. Nruthya holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
